Arts Integrated into Academic Excellence

An Optional School
A Day in the Life at Warner

Warner Arts Magnet School promotes learning in the arts as well as the transfer of learning between the arts and other subjects to build the skills scholars need to become successful adults.

Teacher with scholar at computerWe use standards-based art content and 21st Century skills like critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, to engage scholars and leverage development and learning across the curriculum. Warner is an enhanced option school, meaning we have an extended school day that ends at 3:45 p.m.

Currently, our scholars receive instruction in the English language arts, math, social studies, science, and the related arts which include dance, computer, physical education, art, music, and library sciences.

We also have Advanced Academic and Exceptional Education services as well. Warner scholars receive instruction in dance, instrumental music, choral music, multiple visual arts, and Physical Education.

Warner promotes learning outside of the classroom through educational field trips, has an active volunteer program, and takes full advantage of technology in our classrooms.

After-care is available for free Monday-Friday and provided on site by the Martha O'Bryan Center and off-site by East Park Community Center. Warner offers literacy nights, STEAM nights, and family dances to promote family involvement. We are committed to continued collaboration with parents and community partners to further strengthen our community and make Warner the school of choice for Nashville.
